The Flyin’ A’s are a husband and wife duo based out of Austin, Texas. No Holds Barred is their fourth full length studio album. It has been recorded at MoonHouse Studios in the heart of South Austin produced by Chris Gage. Players on the album include Warren Hood on fiddle, Kym Warner (Green Cards and Robert Earl Keen) on mandolin, Glenn Fukunaga (Dixie Chicks) on electric bass, Josh Allen Flowers on stand up bass, Kevin Hall on drums, Andrea Magee (Beat Root Revival) on Bahram, Chris Gage (Jerry Jeff Walker) on dobro, piano and electric guitar and Stuart Adamson on Electric guitar and vocals, and Hilary Claire Adamson on vocals. The majority of the 9 original songs on this album were written high in a cabin nestled in the Colorado Rocky Mountain range at the YMCA of the Rockies. The other 4 songs are by songwriters that have had a major influence on Hilary Claire Adamson and Stuart Adamson including Townes Van Zandts, Billy Edd Wheeler, George Jones, Roger Miller, and Al Staehely (Spirit). Infatuation, healing, grit, heartbreak and lighthearted love are painted all over the melodies and grooves in this inspiring collection of songs. This album is a look into the heart and soul of love's journey from start to finish. Life, love, loss and the many twists and turns in between are represented in each of these tracks. The honesty in the songwriting, soulful delivery of the vocals, intensity within the exceptional musicianship combined with the sincerity in all those who perform across this album shows the labor of love put into this project by all involved.
