Malachi Gagnon Gets Personal in New Single

Seventeen year-old Malachi Gagnon is here to "Stay" with his new single, available everywhere on November 1.

The new project succeeds that release of "Reason To Live", arguably Gagnon's most heartfelt single to date. Following the suicide of a close friend, the budding star took to music as a method of healing, believing that his words have the power to "...impact people, and it would almost be selfish to not give that to the people who needed to hear them..." In his words, the song was "written as a letter to my friend Ethan, saying the words that I wish I could've said had I known what he was dealing with."

His new song, "Stay", available now, is a message to the lovers and leavers in romantic relationships. When on the topic of inspiration, Gagnon believes that his past is the best source to look to. "With 'Stay', I thought back to a moment when I remember feeling like I was losing someone, but did nothing to stop it. The regret I felt during this reveals itself throughout the songs...it helped me process feelings I didn't know I still struggled with."
