Karli Ryan Releases New Single "Young Girl"

Karli Ryan just released her first single in over a year called “Young Girl” earlier this month. In 2019, Ryan auditioned for American Idol Season 17 and sang an original song by herself, “Gimme Back My Heart” before judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie. She received a “yes” from country music star Luke Bryan, but the other two judges said she has potential but not enough for their support. Ryan did not let her music journey end there, instead she saw it as a way to step up her music career. With her new single, “Young Girl” she shows that she has a whole life to improve herself and now is just the beginning.

“This song is for every time I have ever been told ‘no’,” said Ryan. “It’s for the times I’ve been told that timing is everything and I’m just ‘too young.’ The support I’ve been shown has made me realize that being ‘too young’ isn’t a disadvantage, it’s a reminder that I have the rest of my life to get to where I want to be. I think ‘Young Girl’ is a great place to start.” She is working with Grammy and Emmy award-winning recording engineer, mixer, and producer Jamie Tate to make music that is her own.
