DANNY GRIEGO’S “INEVITABLE” REACHES THE TOP 30 ON BILLBOARD’S AC SINGLES CHART
THE COUNTRY ARTIST’S SONG HITS #28 THIS WEEK ON BILLBOARD AND MEDIABASE
NEW SINGLE TO BE RELEASED ON JUNE 26 FEATURING A DUET WITH WAYLON JENNINGS TITLED “AT THE CROSSROADS”
Outlaw Country Records announces that Danny Griego’s new single, “INEVITABLE,” reached the Top 30 this week at #28 on Billboard and Mediabase’s Adult Contemporary Charts.
The Arizona-born, Texas-based country singer/songwriter whose music has a rich blend of Outlaw, Cowboy, Americana and Latin influences, will also release a new single recorded with the late music legend Waylon Jennings worldwide on all digital platforms on June 26 titled “At The Crossroads.”
From his early days gigging around Arizona saloons and rodeos, to lengthy stays in Nashville where he forged lifelong friendships with country music icons including Waylon Jennings, Hank Cochran, Red Lane, Max D. Barnes, John D. Loudermilk and Billy Joe Shaver, Griego has created a diverse catalog of songs that reflect his personal story. A 2007 album, Destination, helped to establish Griego as a recording artist, and after seven years of touring and writing, he delivered his follow-up with 2014's Cowboys, Outlaws & Border Town Dogs. On the album, Griego dialed-in on an authentic sound that combines his myriad of influences and interests --from the maverick Outlaw Country of the 1970s and classic cowboy songs, to more contemporary Americana and Latin that launched one of the album’s singles, "The Coast is Clear,” which hit Billboard’s Top 10.
Griego tours with his Texas based band of seasoned veteran musicians, "The Cowboy Cartel,” playing a variety of venues, from NHRA pro-stock motorcycle events (the singer owns a National Hot Rod Association team) -- to military bases. His ongoing support of the American military led to the unique 2018 project, "Twenty-Two”, which saw him collaborating with fellow country singer K.P. Fitz on a song and short film concerning the suicide epidemic among war Veterans, which at the time of the song's release, saw an average of 22 veterans taking their own lives daily. His 2014 single with Michael Martin Murphey titled "Lady Liberty" was also written to honor veterans; he has made frequent stops to sing at military bases and venues around the country during his tours. Griego returned in 2019 with the heartfelt single "You Never Stop Loving Somebody", charting in the Top 20 on both Billboard and Mediabase.
